\u00a0I got into making my own homemade dog treats because my girl, Remi, suffers from allergies. I believe her allergies are most likely environmental, so food may not affect her much at all. Still, my vet recommended keeping her diet simple and consistent to help manage flare-ups when they happen. That\u2019s when I decided to start making dog treats at home. Not only does it give me full control over the ingredients, but my girls absolutely love<\/em> them. Below are a few simple dog treat recipes that are easy to make and guaranteed to leave your dog wanting more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storage tip for the baked treats: if you do not completely dehydrate them, it is best to store in the fridge or freezer — they should be good for approximately 2-4 weeks. If you do not store them in the fridge\/freezer, it is best to use them within 1 week before spoilage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats (3 Ingredients)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These are soft, easy to make, and a huge hit in our house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • 1 ripe banana<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u00bd cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 1 cup oat flour (or blended rolled oats)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    1. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Mash the banana in a bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    4. Add oat flour and stir until a dough forms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Roll out and cut into shapes, or scoop small balls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Pumpkin & Oat Dog Treats (Great for Digestion)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Pumpkin is excellent for digestive health and stool regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • 1 cup pure pumpkin pur\u00e9e (not pumpkin pie filling)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • 2 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • 2\u00bd cups rolled oats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
